The Premier Team welcomes new Agents
The Premier Team at RE/MAX Executive welcomes North Carolina Brokers Laura Collins and Denise Mackey. Laura, a native of Vermont, epitomizes hard work, dedication and creative service in every detail of her clients’ real estate transactions. She graduated from the University of Virginia and was then off to New York City to use her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Theater. While there, she worked in the costume shop of the Julliard School and was a wardrobe and costume designer for off Broadway shows.
She puts that creative talent to work in her real estate career. Since achieving her North Carolina Broker license in 2002, she has worked in many aspects of the industry including Broker/Realtor®, staging homes, and as a closing coordinator.
Laura also is dedicated to her family, husband Brian and son Parker, and her community. Since 1998 when she moved to Charlotte, Laura has spent multiple weeks each summer teaching teens about leadership, goal setting, people skills and group dynamics through Tomorrow’s America Foundation. She’s also active in her church and enjoys fitness, especially running and crew. She served as coxswain on the UVA Men’s crew team and ran the Marine Corp marathon. Now, she’s a distance runner and Girls on the Run coach.
“Though I am high energy, I bring a calm solution-oriented approach to real estate transactions for my clients,” she said. “The greater Charlotte area has a dynamic mix of urban, suburban and rural areas. I enjoy the proximity to the Arts as well as seeing deer on my morning runs. Charlotte is a wonderful place to call home, raise a family and grow a career or business. “
As a native of the Carolinas, Denise Mackey has extensive knowledge of York and Mecklenburg counties. She graduated from Queens University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Before starting her real estate career, she worked in Medical Device Sales and Event Sales Management. She also spent several years as a radio show host on “The BJ Murphy Morning Show” in Charlotte, as well as various other radio shows, throughout the Carolinas.
She began her real estate career in New Home Sales three years ago before moving into general brokerage. With her extensive background in sales and media, Denise has acquired the needed sales and negotiation skills that enable buyers and sellers to reach their goals.
Denise values building strong relationships with a goal of having her clients for a lifetime.
In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Hospitality House of Charlotte, The Ronald McDonald House, and Saving Southern Kitties of the Carolinas. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
